确定组合式过电压保护器额定电压的主要依据是单相接地时健全相的最高暂时过电压 根据电力部1993年l0月30日《关于提高3 kV～66 kV无间隙金属氧化物避雷器额定电压和持续运行电压有关情况的通报》，对于6kV～10kV电机 ≥1．38 ，按国内标准，最高运行线电压为 =1．15 ，则6kV电动机的 =1．15~6．3=7．2(kV)，6 kV电机过电压保护器的额定电压 ≥1．38~7．2=9．94(kV)。
